Official Proxmox VE Training: Deployment and Management (ref. PVE-DM-01). 2 days / 14 hours, synchronous virtual classroom. Multi-company session delivered by DynFi. Training organization Qualiopi certified.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to install and manage a standalone Proxmox VE server: deploy the platform, configure networking, administer storage, create and monitor virtual machines and Linux containers, set up backup and restore, secure access, and handle common incidents.

Audience and prerequisites

System administrators, infrastructure engineers, IT technicians, consultants. Suited to a first hands-on approach to Proxmox or a migration from VMware or Hyper-V.

Prerequisites: basic knowledge of hypervisors, virtual machines, containers and networking (IP addressing, VLAN). Basic Linux administration skills (command line, packages) are a plus. No prior Proxmox experience is required.

Program

Day 1. PVE architecture (KVM, LXC, GUI, CLI, API). Installation from ISO. Updates and repositories. Networking (bridge, bonding, VLAN, SDN overview). Single-server storage (local, LVM, ZFS, iSCSI, NFS). Connecting to Proxmox Backup Server.

Day 2. Virtual machines (creation, snapshots, cloning). LXC containers. V2V / P2V migration. Built-in firewall. Backup and restore. Users, groups, permissions (RBAC) and TOTP. ZFS mirroring. Troubleshooting.

Teaching resources

Each learner has their own virtualized Proxmox VE infrastructure, provided by DynFi for the entire session. Hands-on exercises on this platform, course materials and quizzes throughout the training to track progress.

Trainers

DynFi engineers, official Proxmox trainers. Around 15 years of Proxmox experience on critical environments (production, high availability, demanding clients). They also work in the field: architecture, deployment, operations.
