Proxmox Déploiement & Gestion November 2026
This official training covers the core technical skills of Proxmox VE. Participants will learn to identify the steps and components required to successfully create and manage virtual machines and Linux containers, including network management, storage, security practices, and backup strategies suited to single-server deployments.
Training Content
This training offers a mix of theory and hands-on exercises, helping participants build the skills and confidence to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot the Proxmox VE platform.
- Understanding Proxmox VE architecture with a focus on single-server deployment.
- Installing and configuring Proxmox VE: system requirements, installation, updates, and network configuration.
- Exploring the management interfaces (web GUI, command-line CLI).
- Configuring and managing networks in Proxmox VE: bridging, bonding of network interfaces, VLANs, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Storage management: storage options in Proxmox VE with a focus on single-server deployments.
- Managing virtual machines: creating, managing, and understanding the various options and possibilities for virtual machines (VMs) and Linux containers (LXC).
- Backup and restore strategies: backing up guests with the built-in backup feature, exploring integration with Proxmox Backup Server, managing retention, and restore options.
- Authentication and permissions: managing users, groups, authentication realms, and permission schemes.
- Built-in firewall.
- Troubleshooting common issues.
Expected Outcomes
By the end of this training, participants will have a thorough understanding of the topics covered, including the proper use of virtual machines (VMs) and LXC containers. They will have a clear view of the different storage options for a single-node setup. Participants will be able to configure the built-in firewall, plan a backup and restore strategy, and create user accounts with dedicated permissions. Thanks to their understanding of the underlying technologies, they will be able to perform basic troubleshooting operations. The training also covers the available options for migrating existing workloads to Proxmox VE, as well as guest optimization strategies within the virtual environment.
